Over the long Australia day weekend in Sydney, For-Auction held the auction for distinguished Sydney businessman Charles Curran AC. The collection was housed in his gracious Rosemont Avenue home, which he had shared for decades with his late wife Eva. The For-Auction team sprang into action with limited time to bring the extensive collection to auction. A strong turnout for the onsite viewing at the house in Woollahra contributed to the success and in the end the collection made almost double its pre-auction estimate and it was a virtual sell-out by volume.

I am writing to thank you for the very professional and effective way in which you and your firm handled the sale of the contents of my former family home at 8 Rosemont Avenue, Woollahra, Sydney.
Whilst preliminary photography had been taken some little time ago, it was only in late December 2025 that I was in the position to request vou to prepare the catalogue and to commence the sale process. Also, we had a very tight deadline to have the sale concluded and the contents of the home removed by the end of January 2026.
The whole process was handled very effectively, within that tight time-frame, despite the Christmas season intervening and I believe that in the circumstances, the outcome was very favourable.
