Simon Ryan has an astute sense of fashion, design and taste, his collection encompasses years of collecting. From the age of 16 he bought his first piece from the famed Mr Johnston (now the Johnston collection in east Melbourne ). Simon has over the years worked, lived and travelled extensively, bringing back treasures , sourced for their aesthetic value alone, his original business premises would immerse his clients in a world of magnificent juxtapositions of artefacts on display. His keen eye of sourcing was instigated by his original training in archaeology, which allowed him to discern true artefacts. Simon would go to great lengths to glean and impart knowledge to persons eager to listen and learn. Always a colourful spectacle at auctions, Simon is described as the gentleman collector with eclectic taste and style. In his words he truly would like his collection to recirculate back into the universe and with so many affordable pieces, that are unique and collectible, this is bound to happen.
